Every year we have an Easter egg hunt; I hide plastic eggs filled with goodies around the yard. The kids have a great time running around with their emptied Easter baskets finding and collecting the eggs. Sometimes we invite some friends over, other times its just our kids. If you hide a bunch of eggs and let the kids loose (which is what I used to do), the older kids find all the eggs and the littler ones start to cry. I ended up holding our daughter back so that our younger one could find some on his own. The solution to this I have found is to assign each child a color - and each child can only collect eggs of his or her color. This way I am able to keep the Easter egg hunt fair and nobody's feelings are hurt. |
