| How To Discipline A 5 Year Old That Wrote All Over Her Table In Her Room? |

During a playdate yesterday, our daughter wrote all over her table in a blue and red marker (washable - but I still cannot get it off). She said she didn't think it was a big deal because the markers were washable and it is "her" table. I couldn't believe it. But, she is overall, a very well behaved child. Advice on how to discipline? |

Sounds like someone needs to sit in the corner! |

I think it is very important to make it clear to her now that it is not acceptable -- otherwise she may find other more valuable items to write on with non -- washable markers! |

I would definitely discipline my child if he did that because it is unacceptable behavior. I would ask him to try to clean it up, and take away the markers through the weekend, if not longer. Tell him that he can't use the markers since he is not able use them responsibly. Good luck :) |

I would say it is not a big deal and no discipline required. These are afterall, things. If you otherwise have no issues with her behavior, I would let it pass and firmly tell her that it is not OK and to no do it again. |
